Problem we solved
BuildMate, a major building materials manufacturer, discovered that customers struggled to visualize how different products would look together. Choosing facade tiles, roofing, and trim combinations from static catalogs led to indecision, frequent returns, and a high volume of support calls asking "what goes well with what?"
The company needed an interactive product configurator that would let customers experiment with material combinations in real time, see realistic previews, get instant pricing, and export their configurations as professional PDF documents to share with contractors or architects.
How we delivered
We developed an interactive Vue.js configurator with a real-time 3D preview engine. Users can select and combine facade materials, roofing, window frames, and trim elements on a photorealistic house model. Each change instantly updates the visual preview, the material list, and the price estimate with accurate dealer pricing.
The configurator includes a PDF export feature that generates professional specification documents with product codes, quantities, and pricing. We integrated the system with BuildMate's ERP to ensure real-time stock availability and accurate pricing. The tool was designed to work smoothly even on mobile devices with limited processing power.
