HomeDeco, an interior design e-commerce brand, had outgrown their WooCommerce store. The platform was painfully slow under their growing product catalog, the checkout process was clunky and losing sales, and they needed custom features — like room-based product recommendations and designer consultations — that WooCommerce plugins simply could not deliver.
The migration had to be seamless with zero downtime, preserving years of SEO rankings, customer accounts, and order history. At the same time, they needed Polish payment methods (Przelewy24) alongside international options (Stripe) and integration with their warehouse management system for real-time stock updates.
How we delivered
We migrated the entire store to Sylius — a modern, headless e-commerce framework — with a custom Vue.js storefront. The new architecture delivers blazing-fast page loads through server-side rendering and aggressive caching. The custom checkout process was streamlined from 5 steps to 3, with guest checkout and saved payment methods.
We implemented dual payment gateway support with Przelewy24 for Polish customers and Stripe for international buyers, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. The warehouse integration provides real-time inventory sync, automatic low-stock alerts, and shipping label generation. SEO migration was handled with comprehensive 301 redirects and canonical URL management.
