VitalShop wanted to launch a modern wellness e-commerce store with a subscription model at its core. The traditional one-time purchase approach wasn't working for consumable wellness products — customers would buy once, run out, and forget to reorder. The brand needed recurring revenue and deeper customer relationships.
The platform needed to handle complex subscription logic: flexible delivery intervals, easy pause/resume, product swaps between deliveries, and personalized product recommendations based on customer health goals. All of this had to work seamlessly on mobile, where 70% of their target audience shops.
How we delivered
We developed a custom e-commerce platform using Laravel and Vue.js with Stripe Billing powering the subscription engine. Customers can subscribe to individual products or curated wellness boxes with flexible delivery schedules. The recommendation engine analyzes purchase history and stated wellness goals to suggest personalized product bundles.
The mobile-first design ensures a frictionless shopping experience on all devices. Subscription management is intuitive — customers can skip, pause, swap products, or adjust delivery frequency from their dashboard. We built a comprehensive analytics dashboard for the business team to track subscription metrics, churn rates, and customer lifetime value.
